I’m going there for a month on James island working at trident andI want to be outdoors and see beautiful things. Are there trails? I guess the plantations have a lot of walking?
Wife and I moved to Columbia 2 years ago. As far as I can tell its just like everywhere else we have lived. How much better truly is Charleston compared to Columbia?
Don’t forget earthquake insurance!
How is public transportation?
Hollywood aint say that 💯💪🏾💯
Stay out of North Charleston
The future in the South: more infrastructure, more expenses, more taxes.
It’s flat, so flat
Forgot Goose Creek
its very nice of you to offer help and advise, especially these days, thank you for the info and thumbs up for the work you do
One thing when you move from up North to these southern cities remember why you moved and vote accordingly. Don’t bring your failed liberal policies with you
I escaped WNY too. I moved to Greenville.
Like, the barbers on do Zeke style, only yoking, thanks. Charleston area rules, I want to move there some day.
My husband and I are moving tomorrow from NJ. We’re very excited!!
Where did you live in Western ny? I live in Rochester and I might be moving to Charleston in a few years
I’m heading to Charleston for NNPTC In September, reccomend any good gyms?
Summerville and Ladson seem like great values. You are 30 minutes from downtown, unless you need to commute at rush hour. That become 60 minutes+ some days, so unless you can risk being late to work, you’ll need to leave over an hour for your commute.
No false the weather is hot and muggy! Don’t even think about working outside in mid July.
My daughter and her family live there. Personally, I do not like the low country.
I was thinking of moving to Myrtle Beach.
What part of WNY were you from? We’re near Buffalo trying to get out. I hate the weather here, and the politics. I get scared leaving everything I know here but I get excited when I watch these videos. Thank you for them! Scary but exciting!
I’m leaving my wife and life in NJ to go south. I’m a disabled Combat Vet so have the disability money guaranteed for life. That said, I wanted to find a place (apartment/comdo) to live that looks nice and is affordable (& not too far from the beach, maybe 45 mins tops)
Any suggestions of where good places to live are? Finding NICE affordable housing…
Overall decent and accurate description.
This video was most likely to remove all this fucking popularly 🤣🤣🤣
There MAY Be good private schools in Charleston, but in terms of public schools go, Charleston is at the bottom compared across the USA
I live in California and have learned so much!!
My girlfriend and I can’t wait to move from Buffalo to Charleston! I’m glad to see that it looks like a lot of Bills fans will be down there with us!
Remember when you get here…you are a refugee, not a missionary. Leave the bad, high tax ideas at the border. 🙂
Awesome video!! Thanks for the information.
Daniel Island is a well kept secret of charelston. It’s so cute and has the best creeks to swim and boat in!
Damn that’s too flat. No mountains?
Love Charleston, I been living here for years, but…. It’s got a HORRIBLE homeless problem here, the city is all but ignoring the problems. It’s a grimmy little city. There is little or no effort to keep town looking nice. There are pockets of project apartments right next to 5 million $ houses. Schools are a joke.
Work for USPS and just put my transfer from Green Bay, Wi. to Charleston, South Carolina !!! Wow !!!! Am I crazy ? What is this place and why so expensive???? Any info I’d really appreciate!!! Thanks 😊
Traffic used to be a nightmare for residents on James Island having to depend on the Wapoo Bridge. The bridge that connects Harbor View Road to the city really helped.
Love Charleston will definitely consider when I’m leaving NYC!
Well done, Sir.
(BUT you may want to lose a couple of the hilly/rocky hiking clips. What hills? What rocks? — just kidding – Ha).
Is there tiny house living in Charleston or nearby?
Cute!
How’s the personal care(non live in)market?
I was born and raised in Charleston but I’m 9 and and you get used to it
As told from my tag, I am from Saratoga and if the Autonomy of New Amsterdam is impossible then to SC I go gladly. Beautiful here, funny thing, I write this comment here in SC.
Hi, I am contemplating moving there with no job, but to be a full time musician playing americana music. Are there any areas where rent is ok? What is a typical price for one bedroom apartment? What part of Charleston should I look into? Any help is appreciated. Can I call?
I love living here
I moved from NY/NJ to Myrtle Beach in 1995 for college and it was absolute CULTURE SHOCK for me. The people I grew up with were nothing like the people of SC. Not a bad thing, just a definite thing to get used to. Only lived there for 2 years, but overall, I didn’t like it. Now, at 44 years Old, I am considering moving to the Carolinas (Coastal) for the cost of living, diverse seasons, recreation and conservative leadership. Been in Commie Kalifornia for the past 21 years. Ready to get back to the east coast. Thanks for the video.
Lack Beach front parking for locals.
Traffic is terrible. They say they help with roads but so many of the roads are just a way for them to make more money, so it doesn’t actually help. Lots of potholes that aren’t fixed and stop lights aren’t put very often unless it’s built with the road. Rush hour is pretty much after 1pm to 7pm at night.
My daughter has been in Mount Pleasant a long time and is now looking to move as the traffic and population is getting to be too much.. Schools are excellent in Mount Pleasant area. There is a lot to do but tourism and too many folks moving there makes it hard these days…
More people want to move south from the cold NE
As a lifelong Charlestonian I can assure you we wish northerners would stop fleeing their crap hole cities to come to Charleston, Summerville, or even Goose Creek. We don’t like rude people and you northerners are the worst!
More information on school districts please.
This is just life in the Carolinas in general near any city. Charlotte, Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, Raleigh, Asheville, etc
