Most of these brands were my dog’s favorite and I used to order them regularly from stores like Costco or Petcarerx. But unfortunately, some of these brands have been linked with coronary heart diseases, so I am avoiding them for the time being.

hills science diet is absolute GARBAGE

  11. usagarden on January 18, 2022 at 8:15 pm

Taste of the Wild killed 3 of my puppies, it was recommended to me by an employee at a well known pet store, The kibble was so big, they choked on the kibble, the Vet found parts of the kibble stuck in their throats, the puppies were Pomeranian, and I was told by the store manager that kibble size should not matter regardless the size of your dog, I disagree with the toy breeds the smaller the kibble, the better its for them. I switched to Solid Gold, I am still heart broken.

Orijen in Canada is the only one that knows its trusted sources.
Orijen sold here U.S. out of East Coast state is not the same formula has the original Orijen made in private Canada kitchen.
The recipe sold in the U.S. is added beans to the recipe. The meat sources are not from free range areas of Canada. They are farmed sources from U.S.
They also have use rendered meat and probably still do.
Rendered meat is meat from a dead animal that died of blank ? causes. That was one of the cases filled against them when dogs died after consuming food brought from a batch of food found later tested with phenobarbital . They have had recalls for their food made here in the U.S.
