I fully agree with getting the cheap stuff…it’s meat & has the exact same properties as the expensive stuff & the critters aren’t going to know the the difference…

If your dog has allergies like chicken and beef where would you suggest buying your proteins from?

  5. Ken W on January 25, 2022 at 12:58 pm

I’ve been feeding raw for years..also another cheap and inexpensive way to provide fat is to buy the high fat cottage cheese..dogs love it!!…both my shepherds get a very high protein diet and I substitute either pork fat or cottage cheese. It’s a very cheap way to get the fat in their diet.

I actually found a raw diet kibble! The brand name is nature’s variety instinct the raw brand and it’s a pure raw diet kibble with no extra ingredients! And they have it for dogs and cats!

(Beef version) The ingredients for dogs are: beef, beef liver, pumpkin seeds, beef spleen, carrots, apples, butternut squash, ground flaxseed, dried kelp, broccoli, apple cider vinegar, salmon oil, rosemary extract, blueberries, and dried chicory root. The use monomorillonite clay for shape, mixed tocopherols as a preservative, and freeze dry it.

(Rabbit version)For cats the ingredients are: rabbit (including ground rabbit bone), pork, pork liver, pumpkin seeds, carrots, apples, butternut squash, rabbit liver, rabbit kidney, rabbit lung, dried kelp, broccoli, apple cider vinegar, salmon oil, rosemary extract, blueberries, and dried chicory root. The use monomorillonite clay for shape, mixed tocopherols as a preservative, and freeze dry it.

And they have plenty of flavors too like beef, rabbit, pork, fish, etc…
The point is I think you should definitely try this new stuff because it is amazing!

The price for a small bag is about 15 dollars and the price for a large bag is about 30 dollars. .

Do you have a video on what raw food you can give yours dogs if you don’t want to have them on a full raw diet? like example I give my dogs some raw wings still with the raw bone to clean their teeth and I also sometime give them sardines not every day and I do sometimes add like different additives in their food like fish oil, eggs, bone broth, I sometimes give them the plain yogurt, also is their any other foods I can add to my dogs kibble?

  11. bell on January 25, 2022 at 1:04 pm

you should make a recipe video where you put down the recipes you use (bone broth, special mixes, etc.) sometimes, the recipes you list get lost in other videos so it’d be more convenient to have a separate video for them.

Is it okay for me to feed my kitties steamed fresh oysters/mussels and raw mackerels instead of canned?🙈 will that affect the daily sodium intake? Thank you!!

  23. Nikko Shay on January 25, 2022 at 1:23 pm

You are so right about the bones.
My dog chip his tooth on a pork bone.
The only bones my dogs get are poultry bones or rabbit Bones ,rib bones of goat, sheep and deer. Only the rib bones. They love it. I aim for a rib bone or two for their calicum needs and then deer or beef muscle meet, eggs and live and kidney. As well as chicken feet.
    Sardines once a week.
Raw goat milk every so often.
Then viggies and fruit as treats.

If you want to feed your dog raw meat never ever buy feed raw meat from the butchers or supermarket there are companies that supply raw frozen meat for dogs that have been frozen to the correct temperature to kill salmonella and other harmful bacteria., that could make your dog very ill .this person is giving out very dangerous information and should do some more study on the subject.

Bones are great for dogs, when they become a choking hazard is when they’re cooked

  34. zentember on January 25, 2022 at 1:35 pm

for salty canned meats i run them under water to reduce sodium, but i know it’s unclear how much sodium is left, but if the sodium is low already and i wash it i think it is ok

HI! I would like to thank you so much for this content! I live in Poland 🇵🇱 and I was searching a lot for some specific information and there was a lots of conflicting information about BARF and RAW feeding😰. Especially when it comes to feeding puppies when I was trying to calculate daily Portion it was so small, 300g of meat per day + bones and organs, and there was information that too much liver is danger for dogs and You should feed with liver max 3 times per week 😟. For me it was really disturbing and I was searching a lot and every BARF calculator comes with the same size. My puppy is 3 months old german shepherd and he is very active and it was definitely to little for him. He was always hungry. THAN I GLADLY FOUNDED YOUR CHANNEL and everything became so clear even for me from foreign country 😃 i love it so much! You are so kind to share this with us! THANK YOU ❤️ THANK YOU 💖 THANK YOU 💖 I’m sending for you a lot of greetings from Poland!🇵🇱 And from my dog too 🐺

You should make weekly or monthly videos of u meal prepping, I would love that.

  39. GutterTeeth on January 25, 2022 at 1:38 pm

What do you suggest for a cat that has only four teeth? She doesn’t really have the power to crunch or grind anything? I feel like the obvious answer would be just anything but stuff with bone but I want those teeth to stay healthy as well!

Grass fed grass finished or 100% grass fed, wild caught seafood, pasture raised meats and eggs, for your carnivore pets. Don’t forget the green tripe.

This is why people aren’t feeding raw…it’s so much but are told it’s "easy". Yea, it’s easy after you know what you’re getting…

  45. Evie on January 25, 2022 at 1:51 pm

Places like wefeedraw and primal pet foods have made this process so much easier on me

  46. Vincent Bedolla on January 25, 2022 at 1:51 pm

I just started my Mini Schnauzer pup on Primal Frozen Raw. What do you do to keep bacteria down after he eats? My understanding is that his mouth becomes a petri dish and he tends to give a ton of kisses after a meal. Thoughts?

  47. Jasminuwuu on January 25, 2022 at 1:51 pm

can i start my puppy pitbull on a raw feed when they get home for the first time before their first vet appointment?

  48. Pigdoc1 on January 25, 2022 at 1:53 pm

Just simplify to "Don’t Buy Raw Pet Food". Raw pet food is the most idiotic concept ever. It provides NO nutritional benefit to cooked food, with a whole bunch of additional risk.
