Q: WHAT IS A RAW FOOD PET DIET?
A: Raw means real, whole and pure nutrition, and most importantly, no heat.

Q: SO, DOES UNCOOKED MEAT FROM THE GROCERY STORE COUNT?
A: It might sound like a good idea to buy a few pounds of chicken from the grocery store, but uncooked meat isn’t safe unless it’s prepared with High Pressure Processing (aka HPP). Raw meat from the store also doesn’t have all the nutrients your dog needs. But raw pet food like Instinct Raw offers complete and balanced, safe nutrition.

Q: IS FEEDING RAW SAFE?
A: Feeding raw can be safe—if you go to the right source. It’s important to choose a raw diet that’s prepared with HPP. This keeps the food pathogen-free and safe for you and your pet.

Q: SO, IT’S RAW FOOD, BUT STILL PROCESSED?
A: Without getting too scientific, HPP makes raw meat safe to eat by using pressure, NOT heat.
That means removing bad bacteria that could make your pet sick—but keeping all the nutrients that could be lost by using heat.

Q: IS FEEDING RAW HARD?
A: There are options to help fit your needs! Instinct’s mission is to help you add raw to your pet’s diet in a way that fits your lifestyle and your budget.

My husband and I bought a premium bearded dragon along with all the supplies. We had this bearded dragon for just shy of two months. In this two months we had to make multiple trips to the vet because it had intestinal parasites. Our bearded dragon ended up dieing. Petco would not give us any compensation for the dragon even though they are at fault. We are out hundreds of dollars and nothing to show for it. They would not talk to us on the phone. Just kept repeating what there 30 day policy was.

Going to the grocery store to get muscle, bone, and organs is still MUCH better. No preservatives, unnecessary fillers..ext. The dogs/cats gut is built to process bacteria because it is much more acidic and parasites are killed by freezing meat for specific periods of time. The petco diets are not "RAW" and it’s misleading to people to try to pass it off as such.

The statement at 0:25 that uncooked meat is unsafe without high pressure/temp processing is flat out FALSE … that seems self-servingly disinformative. While it is indeed true for us humans, I shouldnt need to point out that this video is about raw feeding PETS (not humans), and natural predatory carnivores like cats and dogs have highly acidic digestive systems that are specifically evolved to easily deal with bones, fur, and the sort of pathogens that we humans cannot. Salmonella for example is a natural part of the intestinal biome of many cats and dogs … dont take my word for it, ask a qualified and well informed veterinarian.

I bailed on the remainder of the vid. You need to vette your content better, and not just for biological and gastrointestinal accuracy, but corporate honesty.
