Disturbing to see a skunk in private ownership. It’s a wild animal and no pet. Even removing it’s ability to defend itself. The glands should be there. Because those shall not be in a house. Tucker is absolutely more than happy. But again, wild animals in private homes on a permanent basis, not good.

Try those textured bowls that they use for cats. You know those bowls that are specialized for cats to slow their pace when they’re eating.

  37. The Ultimate Reductionist on April 28, 2022 at 4:10 am

2:20 Kinda hard to take animal obesity seriously when you add humorous drum sound when she calls out his weight.

  38. Nat Geo WILD on April 28, 2022 at 4:11 am

Foraging for food mimics wild behavior while encouraging activity. What did you learn about skunks from this video?

  39. DarkWolf on April 28, 2022 at 4:11 am

Sorry, but skunks are no pets. The same with racoons, foxes, fawns and such. And they REMOVED his glands?! That is the skunks first line of defens! You wouldn’t pull all of your dogs teeth out, would you? It is sick enought when people declaw their cats, this is sickening. If you want to get in touch with nature go on a hike in the woods, but don’t get an animal that you have to mutilate so you can keep it as a pet! Especially if you don’t know the propper way to care for it and this applies to exotic and non exotic pets.

  40. Klayton Peterson on April 28, 2022 at 4:12 am

    Yep…just like cats…they gain weight fast…

    He sure loved carrots

  44. Davis on April 28, 2022 at 4:19 am

Normally when a skunk taps its feet and has its tail up, those are normally warning signs that it’s about to spray you. Now since this is a domestic skunk I could see why the body language would be for different things, but seriously never ever go closer to a wild skunk when it’s tapping its feet.

  45. Vad Hakara on April 28, 2022 at 4:19 am

If you choose to care for a pet skunk, please don’t get them descented. Scent gland removal in skunks is unnecessary as they only spray when they think they’re in mortal danger. If you raise them right and make sure to acclimate them to people like you would any other pet, there is no danger of being sprayed.

  46. Skunk Fluffy on April 28, 2022 at 4:20 am

  48. Ambassador Grey on April 28, 2022 at 4:25 am

I walk my dog very early in the AM and pretend we are hunting to make her happy. She saw a black outline in a field by my house (I thought it was a tire.) So I got low, we were hunting, run up on it. Ye, it was skunk. Skunks are not afraid and move slow. I now smell like Pepe.
