This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in.

I suppose the Betsy Ross flag was used during the Civil War for the south? I mean it’s the first flag of rebellion in this country

    It’s pretty simple, really.
If the flag means something good for you, go ahead and fly it.
If it means something bad for you, then don’t fly it.

I believe our flag is more than just cloth and ink. It is a universally recognized symbol that stands for liberty, and freedom

For five years, there were two countries: the USA and the CSA. For five years, the CSA was successful in seceding from the USA. Thus, they were their own nation. So, it stands to reason that statues and flags are a part of Confederate history, not U.S. history. There is no reason to memorialize something that was not a part of U.S. history. This is the price you pay when you decide that you are no longer going to be part of the USA. You give up the right to be remembered.

My ancestors fought bravely on the side of Southern Independence. I have respect and honor for this flag and what it represents.
