Love this, such a cute little hedgehog and you have so much knowledge 🙂
I like hedgehogs when they run .. that’s so cute. We have some wild ones directly behind our garden and they tend to come in to us in summer to steal cat food and if we go out when they are there, there is one who first runs out of the garden, watches us what happens and then comes back in 🤣 if our cat sees and hears them eat, she looks like „wtf are these guys“ and walks away to not get in touch with them 🤣🤣
Hedgehogs do not bark, for those wondering. I have two dogs and one of them barked. Draco was merely reacting to it because it startled him.

To anyone with Hedgehogs seriously please remember to do morning, and nighttime check-ins like she does. I do them as well, but one night I fell asleep early and didn’t end up checking on my hedgehog sense I passed out. The next morning his foot was black and swollen looking like it was about to fall off.
We still don’t know how it happened but he is a digger. Most likely he ripped apart his bedding because it was ripped up, and a string wrapped around his foot. He was so close to death, but we got him the proper care and he’s still kicking around. Just always please remember to ch check-ins on them. I feel if I didn’t fall asleep I could’ve prevented that from happening.

Yeah hedgehogs don’t like the sound of a dog barking loudly so I’m not surprised one is skittish because they need to feel safe away from loud sudden noises
