Not helpful. I think people should have affordable food for their pet and good quality. Too many animals going hungry and no one cares.

Didn’t answer nothing. You should record a better video with more information. It doesn’t guide you to what food you should buy.

Hill’s was recalled for vitamin D overdoses because they use SYNTHETIC vitamins buy dog/cat food WITHOUT SYTHENTIC VITAMINS they aren’t good for animals or humans and just a little bit over the amount they put in a batch can kill your pet.

Oh and by the way their is only 3 company’s who don’t use synthetic vitamins and they aren’t the ones you buy at your pet store so let that soak in 99% of kibble is trash.

BS. He makes money to promote this food. He also make money to promote heart worm meds, probably several hundreds of thousands of dollars in just a few years period for this 1 vet. Read Terriermans Blog about the billion dollar heart worm scam.

Let’s look at reality for a minute when your dogs fodd is mainly comprised of synthetic vitamins and minerals to make up for all the nutritional deficits in the main source of protein in the food. your feeding your dog a science experiment. Less ingredients equals better food equals healthier dogs with reduced risk of cancers and other health issues.

True, the best way to gauge the effectiveness of the diet we are rearing our dogs on is our pets’ overall fitness, not how costly a given food brand is. But let’s also remember that there’s a variety of brands in the market because our dogs will have different intolerances, allergies, and sensitivities to certain food. We also cannot make blanket statements about grain-free vs. grain-inclusive food, in light of a controversial report issued by the FDA recently which is fast turning out to be just a misinformation campaign led by big-name pet food manufactures to discredit certain brands. I hope you can make an update video of your stand on this, guys. Most vet prescribes food that they have partnered with and if you look at the ingredient it doesnt even have real meat. Like starts with bone meal or chicken meal. I am sorry to say that pet world is a scam and this includes some vets as well.
I am sorry to say but the best thing you can do is research, read the ingredients and not just look for AFCO stamp. Just because there is a stamp does not mean it’s a good quality food.
First 4 to 5 ingredients should be real meat and innards. There should be Taurine if it is cooked food.
I am disappointed that a vet made this vide..that’s my opinion ..

I just spent $53.89 on a bag of VICTOR Nutra Pro. My mind was already telling me not to spend all that damn money but went through it anyway. Never again will I spend such cash on food i personally don’t think a dog should eat period. They can eat what we eat with no problems just don’t go crazy on the portions. Home cooked meals way better than them rocks in a fancy bag any day.

AAFCO doesn’t mean anything. His endorsement of AAFCO makes his opinion worthless. Do some research. AAFCO is run by representatives of the pet food industry. Therefore they set their own standards. That’s like the creator of this video rating it 5 starts because he is part of a review team.

I heard it many times, and will apply it here, "food is medicine". Give your cat or dog junk, and your animal could have many health issues. Give your animal quality food, and you will have a much healthier pet. The food doesn’t necessarily need to be expensive, just quality. Think of this way, if you can eat the same food you give your pet(s), then its probably worth it.

Whats funny is, the more the food is highly recommended and highly priced, the more my dog won’t eat it.
Wish I had my money back! 😡

  28. Dc Moor on November 16, 2020 at 10:35 pm

How about the most important deference between a cheap dog food and the more expensive dog food. That is the amount of clean up that is required when feeding the cheap dog food. The cheap food runs through the dogs like water!

Who wrote the book on becoming a "vet" or doctor?? Imagine who was the first Doctor ever??…also nutritionists don’t make pet food, and vets especially don’t make pet food.scientists do….

  34. Bijou123g on November 16, 2020 at 10:43 pm

Lamo well afco approves science diet and purina and most of us know what garbage that crap is so Id rather not use afco as a guide when picking out petfood thanx and vets get a cut for promoting science diet and probably others

Unless this guy specializes in animal nutrition. Don’t take food advice from him. In vet school they only get 1 semester of animal nutrition. Not to mention the fact that a lot of schools get money from pet food companies lmao!

If you select commercial dog food, you cannot purchase anything you like. Like dog food with excess fiber is undigestible to dogs. Before purchasing you must know what should and shouldn’t be purchased. I found this article to be useful. If you want the absolute best go raw . kibble is unnatural causes dental problems & other complications because of fillers

  43. Scrappy ChildHood on November 16, 2020 at 10:51 pm

I trust NAto & Eroupeiean Union why most of those countries are 5 to 20k years old. USA only few hundred and run by billionars and millionars and made up organizations.

  44. Andrew T on November 16, 2020 at 10:51 pm

JUST USE EVERMORE pet food. Fresh organic chemical(pesticide) free grassfed. Kibble is dead food. Any non organic dog food, or organic food with synthetic vitamins and minerals is automatically shit quality especially if it’s kibble.
