I am from England and I have a long history of heart problems, I have just had a Myocardial Perfusion Imaging Test at my local hospital. The appointment letter I received told me to stop eating and drinking 9 hours before the test. This advice conflicts with Myocardial Perfusion Imaging Tests seen 0n Youtube. I am a type 1 diabetic and I had a hypo during the test, which was rather scary. I am rather concerned at the lack of information given before my test. I have had three heart attacks over the years and I am exhausted all the time, I also can not walk very far as this exhausts me also. Thank you for the very interesting video.
I know this video is from 2013 and maybe the pre-test instructions have changed but my husband is having a Lexiscan MPI test next week and he was only told to withhold caffeine for 12 hours before the test not 24 hours like it says here.
Im doing this tomorrow, no problem, im ready.
will any other blockages show up other than the heart?
will meds used during test affect someone who is asmatic?
👍 Thanks for the video I will have it done on 03/08/2021.
Is there any reason why r we going for Exercise IMAGING test when resting ECG is NOT normal & exercise ECG test when resting E CG is normal?

I have this procedure to do and somehow I am terrified, stressed, what can I do in order to be able to do this test?
