Can you go over can food for dogs that would be good option for a senior dog with chronic pancreatitis please 😬 and also if there’s a good crunchy dog biscuit that’s a better option for pancreatic issues.

Fed my dog orijen for short while. It gave her terrible gas, she literally farted constantly and smelled horrible. Switched her to diamond naturals and she is much better now.

Why is it so satisfying when you drop a brand into the Pee Pee Poo Poo tier!? 😂

  5. Kirsten Andelman on May 27, 2021 at 5:07 pm

Do dogs need to eat a certain amount of kibble for the sake of their teeth? Or can you get around that by giving dogs bones to gnaw on?

  6. karina moraga on May 27, 2021 at 5:08 pm

My problem with this video is that the commentary seems to be far more about the company and not about the QUALITY of the food. Is it HEALTHY? Is it Worth the price? Is it’s okay for my dog? That is NOT listed a lot in this video. Most is about the dislike of the company and I do not like that at all. I need to know if its okay for my dog to eat not your feelings on the company.

Thank you so much for making this! All the food recommendations online are so contradictory and biased. I’m super particular when it comes to my doggies!

You should read and study more. Purina has a lot of brands:
    Purina pro plan
    Purina dog show
    Purina dogui
    Purina beyond
    Purina dental life
    Purina friskies.
And some of them are better than others.

I had my boy on Royal Canin for years, his allergies and stomach was awful (border staffy) and the vets told us it was nothing to do with the food, but as soon as I moved him onto the brand mans best those issues cleared up and he’s doing really well now

  26. Kylee Caudill on May 27, 2021 at 5:27 pm

What do you think about royal Canin low fat gastro kibble and soft? My vet prescribed it to my shih tzu last year after almost losing her to a GI infection. I’ve been adding no salt added sardines to the kibble cause I heard its good for her joints. Her legs pop a lot.

I’ve been researching pet food for 9 months now. Very confusing topic! Two of my vets recommend your pee pee diet because they say it’s balanced and they have a nutritionist on their staff. My 2 yr old dog (that I just got) had only eaten whole raw chicken leg quarters his entire life. My vets said either me or my dog would likely get salmonella by handling so much raw meat. Dr. Becker said a single protein diet was a horrible, unbalanced diet. Another vet allergy specialist with 20 years of experience said grains aren’t bad for a dog and she’s never seen a dog allergic to wheat – dogs are almost always allergic to protein!

So, in response to all the diametrically opposed information, I decided to do a little bit of each. I feed my 20lb Frenchy 1/2 cup of costco dry kibble, 3/4 cup of cooked (chicken/turkey, beef liver) and a heaping tablespoon of a ground yuck (sardines, salmon, turmeric, cinnamon, parsley, olive oil, egg shells, blue berries, strawberries, raspberries, carrots, banana, chicken hearts, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese, tomatoes, broccoli, apple, salt, bell pepper, coconut oil, bacon, and pumpkin). Then, every two or three days I give him raw chicken bones with a bit of meat on them. His teeth look incredible and he doesn’t have dog breath.

The diet probably isn’t "balanced" but it seems the "balanced diets" are basically in the pee pee category.

I was impressed w your rating. My ? is about your rating for Orijen. I did not clearly understand why you rated it in the way you did? I also would like to know you feeling about nutrience? I use diamond large puppy & wonder your opinion about it.

  41. C Chalk on May 27, 2021 at 5:48 pm

I have a lot of experience in the dog food animal ingredient side. I will say I do feed diamond products. You could make an entire series on the shady things a lot of them do. I am curious did you get your PhD in Monogastric Nutrition? im just curious because I do Ruminant Nutrition work.

  45. Avalon on May 27, 2021 at 5:51 pm

I found that taste of the wild has way to much lead in their food.

  46. Gabby O on May 27, 2021 at 5:53 pm

I know this is for dogs, but the brand I feed my cats also makes dog food so I’m sitting here patiently to make sure I’m not feeding my cats trash (hopefully not cuz this shit is expensive lol!)

  47. Robert Petit on May 27, 2021 at 5:56 pm

    What about Nulo Medal serial

What’s your opinion on the Gentle Giants brand?

  49. Daniel Sharpe on May 27, 2021 at 6:00 pm

Mars is not owned by P&G. Mars is still owned by the Mars family. They are the biggest pet food manufacturer in the world (not saying their food is good or bad btw)

  50. jenny hardie on May 27, 2021 at 6:01 pm

I would love a UK (or Scottish) version of this! or ranking the foods pets at home sell! I struggle to come across people who have such enthusiasm who also make this type of content!
