Thanks for the helpful info! My dog is about to turn 6 months old and she just seems to not be able to always get her energy out during the day (Midwest winters and apartment living to blame) I’m considering taking her for just a couple hours a week never full days so she can run and play when it’s so cold outside and walks have to be kept short
Daycare for my puppy has been a lifesaver i get we are all entitled to our opinion in addition to my daily walks crate this has improved his temperament and the pesky biting as it gives him an outlet to let out more pent up energy. I do not regret my decision in enrolling my pup to doggy daycare and will continue to do this
Some day cares also provide grooming services. I wonder if it is best to keep grooming separate from day care. My concern is if the dog hates grooming they will also develop anxiety towards day care or vice versa… Would love to hear your comment
So glad I found this channel! I just picked up my 8 week old mini aussie pup and your tips are great!!!
My puppy has so much energy. I walk her in the morning, during my lunch break, and after dinner. I crate her while I work, except during my lunch breaks and her potty breaks.
A couple days a week, I also have meetings in the evenings. I’ve sent my 13 week labradoodle to day camp on days when I have meetings in the evening to burn off energy. That way I don’t have to keep her in the kennel during my meetings as well.
I’m not sure of a better solution. Please help.
My 3 1/2 month old golden doodle starts puppy preschool tomorrow. I did a lot of research, and we did evaluations at 2 locations before we decided. It will be a combination of training and daycare (2 days a week for 4 weeks). 💕
Thank you for watching Puppy Playtime – Why Doggie Daycares Aren’t Great For Socialization. Do you feel like you are equipped with better tips for picking the best daycare for your dog?
Daycare isn’t to socialize puppies, it is to wear out adolescent dogs with too much energy.
This is the best! im getting a golden retriever next Christmas and this is giving me lots of info, but if i have school and all my family isn’t home and i cant use a daycare what do i do then?? (also btw im in school for 8 hours 🙁
Can you do a teacup poodle personality video please!i would love to watch it because I am thinking of getting one
First and this video is super helpful! Thank you so much for your help💖
Is it possible to start training a 6 week old dog?:+
Very timely information. Have been considering occasional afternoons at a doggie daycare for our 5 month old labradoodle so I can get a few things done without a dog in tow. Your advice is well taken. Thanks and cheers!
