These simple homemade dog treats are easy to cook, contain no additives or preservatives and, best of all, are so delicious that your dog will do anything to get this tasty reward!

Supplies needed:
– 1 cup wholemeal flour
– 2 eggs
– 300g fish (tuna/salmon in water) – 10.5oz
– 20-50g grated cheese (1-1.5oz) – optional as higher treat value but also higher calorie content

Be sure not to overdo things, as excessive treats can result in obesity which has a huge impact on a dog’s health and happiness.

Weight from food is not an issue, he self regulates and is eating less as he’s older. Came looking for ideas because if mine won’t eat it my sister’s 3 dogs will.

When you are packaging the treats you “about a weeks worth”. Is that the whole lot, or just one bag? How long will the treats keep out of the fridge/freezer?

Ooo Molly would love those, will have to give them a try! I have these really cute silicone bone shape moulds (you can get them on amazon/aliexpress etc..) and I bet they would turn out really well in those. I used them to make coconut and pumpkin treats. I’ve been considering looking into getting a dehydrator, you can do it on a low temp in the oven but would be cool to not take up hours of time in the oven drying them out and get moaned at because other people want to use the oven haha!! We recently made some homemade icecream which consists of frozen fruit, double cream and a bit of sugar just whizzed up in the food processor and oh my goodness! It’s so delicious! Then I thought that it would be great to make a doggy version, I’m wondering if coconut milk/cream or similar may work as a substitute to the cream (and omit the sugar) and pop them again in those bone shape moulds. I’m gonna give it a go and see, would be such a nice snack for her in summer when it’s hot.
