Omg I’m stuck now, so I’ve bought 5 bags of shop bought dog treats, my pup won’t eat them, just lets them lie, just wants ham which apparantly is bad for them, I didn’t know.
so I seen this video and made these treats, she ate one half way through cooking and loved it but doesn’t want the fully/nearly dry ones at all
Is there a way round it or will I just cook her fresh meat and cut treat sizes for training.

Don’t use coconut flour , after the first bake I flipped the pan over and the mixture crumbled into dust!!!

  7. Kapeka Cavazos on May 16, 2020 at 4:44 pm

Oh I thought dogs aren’t supposed to eat cheese

My pup has been getting blocked up from the store bought treats. Not sure what it is but when I stopped treating her for a day she starting pooping normally again so I blame the treats.
This video couldn’t have come at a better time for me, now I have a way to reward her safely. And it was fun watching you in the kitchen, Ken! Thank you!

Are these ok for an 8 week old puppy?

  10. Iasmina Oana on May 16, 2020 at 4:46 pm

About half the size of your THUMB nail is a good rule of THUMB 😂

  11. Rachel on May 16, 2020 at 4:48 pm

  14. Juan Artiles on May 16, 2020 at 4:53 pm

Is there any way to preserve these for a long time?

  15. Angela Polly on May 16, 2020 at 4:58 pm

Half the size of your thumbnail is truly, a good "rule-of-thumb".

  16. eden love on May 16, 2020 at 5:01 pm

Only one BIG disadvantage of this treat – I eat it too! Thanks for sharing!

  17. Olivia on May 16, 2020 at 5:01 pm

As I’m mixing the treat ingredients and watching this video, both my husky and my cat are pestering me and each other to get to the mix!!! 😆 I think they will be effective for recall… Maybe the cat will even learn recall with this 😂

  18. J Moon on May 16, 2020 at 5:01 pm

I making them right now 🤗 I did the first cooking process at 350 for 20 minutes just Cut them up . I saved three pieces before put the rest back in the oven as directed The ones I saved are a little softer but not too soft ( From the first cooking process at 350 for 20 minutes) my dog loves them he was laying down in the other rroom and gave him one peace he came running in the kitchen he wanted more now he’s whining 🤗👍 i’ll let you know how they turn out with the second part of cooking thank you so much for this recipe we are in lockdown because of the coronavirus and I’m looking for healthy treats for my dog😘👍

  21. Jeff en waldo,my spanish adoption dogs on May 16, 2020 at 5:05 pm

there are so many healthy smelling tasty treats without all the salt and fat and flower…why??

  22. Debbie Minter on May 16, 2020 at 5:05 pm

Can you freeze these and take out what you need for a while to place in the refrigerator? Also are they alright to give puppies? Thanks!

  23. Jean Burk on May 16, 2020 at 5:06 pm

Parchment paper under the slab of treat to cook, makes it easier to get out of the pan. Use several Vit E caps broke open to get the oil for a preservative. Still, keep the tuna or meat treats in the fridge. I wouldn’t use flour that might be GMO. Get organic, or use rice flour.

Thank you for the suggestions on potty training, my pup is 10 months,I have been working on him for 2 months he won’t pee or poop outside. I have taken him for long walks nothing, stayed in one area quiet. Nothing. Dog parks, nothing he watches other dogs go but nothing. I come home and he goes out to the balcony and goes right away,no matter how long were gone. Help

  25. Oliver Covers on May 16, 2020 at 5:07 pm

    Could I use chicken instead?

  26. Jean Burk on May 16, 2020 at 5:07 pm

My dogs love the stinky Caesar’s treats but I read the list of ingredients and they have sugar in them! So no more of that. Now I just use pure duck treats. They will do anything for that. I have been training 2 adult dogs to leash for the past year. It’s starting to pay off. They don’t get treats all the time. Just if they have a good walk. If they walk by another dog, or a deer, and don’t get upset, I praise them, might give a treat, too.

  34. Sonja Marx on May 16, 2020 at 5:22 pm

Those treats seem to be very hard. My dog has lost several teeth and I’d need a recipe for really tasty soft dog treats. Any ideas?

  35. cstormg79 on May 16, 2020 at 5:22 pm

Is there a grain free version of this? Thanks!

  36. Phillip Montosa on May 16, 2020 at 5:23 pm

What’s the best treats to train a yorki about 4 pounds

  37. Truth Minded on May 16, 2020 at 5:28 pm

Can’t seem to make out how long they last when putting in the refrigerator? I can make out a week but he says something right after that I am unable to figure out what he says? Also are there some types of treats that would last a month? (even if it is premade)

  38. Marieke Romeijn on May 16, 2020 at 5:31 pm

It’s almost time to make these treats! The treats I use, I can only buy far away and with the quarantine I don’t want to go there, but since I’m almost out of high value treats, it’s time for these 👌🏼😊

  39. Barbara T on May 16, 2020 at 5:31 pm

  41. Jessica Campbell on May 16, 2020 at 5:32 pm

  42. Taipei Take Away on May 16, 2020 at 5:32 pm

I’m guessing I could used canned chicken instead of tuna? I’m with ya on my despise for tuna

  43. Lupssy on May 16, 2020 at 5:32 pm

Can I do it without the cheese ?

  44. Fabi&Gabi on May 16, 2020 at 5:34 pm

Can we use chicken instead of tuna

  45. Susan Starke on May 16, 2020 at 5:35 pm

Can I use fresh milled flour for this? That would still have the bran, etc. in it. I don’t normally have store bought flour in my house.

  46. Frannie Wee on May 16, 2020 at 5:35 pm

So today I made your recipe. Fantastic! Love your channel. Jack-Jack is crazy for mussels which was a leftover from our own meal. (yummy smelly food). Tomorrow I will try them on Jack-Jack (nearly 3 months, old Golden) outside were he is so distracted by leaves blown by the wind or just lies down chewing on branches or twigs, no attention for me. I wish I had found your channel earlier – made some real mistakes in training Jack-Jack obviously, but we are working on it.

I just finished cooking a little while ago the second cooking process 275 in the oven they are crunchy but easy to break apart the only suggestion I have for larger dogs I have a half pot hound rescue 75 pounds for larger dogs make the pieces a little larger my dog seems to just swallow them when they’re small which could be a choking hazard since they’re crunchy overall my dog loves them I may add a little Punkin to the recipe not sure yet my dog really likes them🤗👍😘
