You don’t need to press the button that make the food dispense b it you can if you want I like your channel and I love cats although I have been scratched by a cat because it tried to hold on to me and I was bitten by a dog

Thank you so much for making this video and especially for being so thorough. It’s a huge help for me as I’m trying to figure out which feeder to go with. As far as why, our cats are already on a schedule. . . but want to have breakfast at 4 in the morning. We’re happy to accommodate this but, since we aren’t up at that time, we figured an autofeeder could help.

Talk about quality of information. Algo comment. Thumbs up!

I’d like a microchip feeder (or simply a proximity activated feeder) because my cat likes to graze and eat her meals slowly over the course of many hours, and unless I intervene it will dry up until she eventually refuses to finish it. Obviously I can’t be there to splash water on her plate several times a day once quarantine ends, so I figure a good microchip feeder will be able to keep the moisture in and keep the food fresh, plus the house will smell less of cat food.

My requirements beyond basic function are:
    1. Ease of cleaning, since I’ll be using wet food.
    2. Food can be served on a plate, not just in a bowl. My cat prefers to eat from flat surfaces, if I give her food in a bowl she will move the food to the floor before eating it.
    3. Not too large. With cat trees, litter boxes and toys quickly eating away at my available floor space, I’d prefer something compact without unnecessary bells and whistles.

And while not necessary, it would be nice if it looks nice as well and not like some cheap plastic toy.

Thanks for you videos. I’m a new cat mom and was not aware of all the different litters, litter boxes and so many other things. Your videos have helped me. 🙂

  10. Floridameerkat93 on August 13, 2021 at 9:54 pm

The Roffie automatic feeder I just bought looks almost exactly like the Wopet feeder. Did I unknowingly purchase a knockoff brand?

  11. sace on August 13, 2021 at 9:55 pm

are any of these good for maybe 3-4 days ? my grandma is old and I’m leaving my cat with her for a couple of days.. she can’t really bend over to keep changing his food :/

  12. AznRUs on August 13, 2021 at 10:00 pm

I’m starting to watch these videos just for entertainment… I think I need to go outside more.

I rally value your opinion. I was looking at Litter Robot auto pet feeder or now it’s called AutoPets auto feeder. It’s $249.99, is that better than Wopet you reviewed?

  16. Jay Madison on August 13, 2021 at 10:02 pm

I’m curious, in regards to how long food lasts in those wet food auto feeders. I would need to be able to put at least 24-32 hours worth of food in one, for when I go out of town on weekends. I am getting a cat soon and would prefer to feed wet food, but my travel schedule might necessitate dry food, these wet food feeders seem like they could be a solution to my dilemma.

  17. Brian Petersen on August 13, 2021 at 10:05 pm

    Excellent information.

  18. Allie G. on August 13, 2021 at 10:05 pm

I‘ll study in a different city at the end of the year and of course I‘ll take my cats with me but once a month I want my go home for the weekend to see my family so I would leave Friday and come back sunday so I need something to take care of my cats I invested in a litter robot connect, a dry food dispenser, I have cameras to check on them but my cats normally exclusively eat wet food so I‘m trying to find a way to still give them wet food. They dont have a cat hotel in my area and I dont have a car I dont wanna put them through two 4,5 hour train rides.

What makes you interested in an automatic feeder for your cat? Do you want to control their portions while you’re away from home? Keep multiple cats’ food separate? Or are you looking for a feature-rich smart feeder that allows you to monitor your cat’s feedings while you’re at work? Let us know in the comments!

  20. a. Marie on August 13, 2021 at 10:09 pm

Watching Forest train with the last feeder was so adorable!

  21. Haley Beaudet on August 13, 2021 at 10:10 pm

I got the WOPET feeder from Amazon and it was only 117$, I like to go away for the weekend and it’s nice to be able to see my cat from the camera and track her food. Also my cat spends about 90% of the day in the living room when we aren’t home so setting up the feeder in the living room allows me to see her almost all day.

  22. Calum Forsyth on August 13, 2021 at 10:10 pm

I was about to buy a dry food feeder but you mentioned that dry food ins’t as healthy for cats. If I were to put my cat on a mixed diet, how often should I provide wet food? Can anyone in Australia recommend me good wet food brands? Alternatively I suppose I could feed him some lean meat such as chicken.

  23. fred shortname on August 13, 2021 at 10:12 pm

I plan to travel out overseas to a different country. Does the Wopet feeder allow me to use the camera and use the app remotely?

  24. BJV on August 13, 2021 at 10:14 pm

Oh sweet lord, I get to sleep in again. I’ve forgotten the majesty of sleeping in since I’ve been solely taking care of my kitties

  25. Guilherme Pipoli on August 13, 2021 at 10:15 pm

I tried many feeders but at the end I gave all up. Once the cat discovers he can "hack" the machine by brutal strength or sitting on top and occasionally pressing the manual feed button, it’s gone. The designers of all those products needs to step their game up.

  26. jamm8856 on August 13, 2021 at 10:19 pm

    How about the feeder robot?

  27. SophiaSage on August 13, 2021 at 10:19 pm

Can you do a video over the elevated and tilted feeders

  28. BelieverMeSF on August 13, 2021 at 10:21 pm

What do you mean dry food isn’t the best for cats?

  29. Katherine Canon on August 13, 2021 at 10:22 pm

Would this feeder work for little dogs? I have 3 cats and a little dog trying make sure they don’t eat each others food 😆

  30. Joyce Ciotti on August 13, 2021 at 10:22 pm

Your video provided great explanations. You saved me shopping time when I just want to buy what is needed. Thanks for you your product reviews, I just ordered the WoPet with WiFi features.

Excellent info for cat owners. Thank you.

  36. Judy Abernathy on August 13, 2021 at 10:28 pm

I had 2 cats, a full sized orange tabby male and a little 6 pound black tabby male. The big male would gouge and purge so I needed something to close after a certain time. The little one didn’t eat much. I couldn”t tell how much he was eating as the big boy would eat his too. I ended up with the Wireless Whiskers. It uses a fob on a collar that opens the access to the food. It only works with dry food and the bin holds enough for at least a week. It takes a lot of programming but one nice thing is it spends 3 days gathering information on how much food each cat consumes. Then if there is any tweaking needed, it can be manually adjusted. When my big boy ate his portion, the doors would close on him until his next scheduled access. It had an alert for my little one when he wasn’t getting enough, an underfed alert. Nice display and uses batteries for backup but primarily plugs into the wall. Unfortunately I got very ill but they had food while I was in the hospital until my family came to help. I lost my cats who are now in good homes but I’ll be a cat mama again and will purchase another wireless whiskers. It was about one fifty.

I have a cat that starts waking me up at 4 30 am for food. I have 4 indoor cats and have been looking for a automatic feeder for wet food. Thank you for the review

Can the wopet cat feeder connects to google home?

  40. m2nesli on August 13, 2021 at 10:33 pm

the problem with all those feeder is if you have multiple cats you can’t individualy feed them. like i have 2 cats 1 eat normaly but the other eat super quick and steal the food of the other. no feeder seems to solve this problem. even the last one . i tryed, the first cat come and open the trap door to eat and the second bully him off the food andd take is place . and the door don’t close when there is a cat head in the bowl.

  41. Marvin Tala on August 13, 2021 at 10:35 pm

Which one feeds for 5 consecutive days without refilling it?

  42. -RED X- on August 13, 2021 at 10:35 pm

Once a day for four days- the timer would have to be set at the same time, because if not the machine will churn them out 1 after another. Since it only operates with a 24 hour cycle and no date timer like days… still trying to figure it out.

  43. Thai Nguyen on August 13, 2021 at 10:37 pm

the petsafe simply feed automatic feeder works good, but our cat figured out she can knock a few more pieces of kibble into the bowl if she swats at the feeder and obsessed with it

  44. Alain Portant on August 13, 2021 at 10:38 pm

11:33 Is it possible to stream the livefeed of the cat feeder directly on youtube from the app ?

  45. CronoseThete on August 13, 2021 at 10:39 pm

Love the video I personally use the "amzdeal Automatic Cat Feeder Pet Feeder Cat Food Dispenser 4 Meals A Day with Timer Programmable Portion Control Voice Recorder 3L Capacity for Cats and Dogs" its only 40 dollars, has 4 programmable times any time through out the day to feed the cat, has a voice set up to call the cat and lasts for a while with the 3L capacity; would love to know your thoughts on it:)

  46. Miriam Caro on August 13, 2021 at 10:42 pm

The Cat Mate feeder works pretty well for my furboy Spike. The only problem I had with it was ME. It fed him in the morning and in the evening, and since there are only five rotating cubbies, I would forget that I had to refill it after Day 2 (I’m getting old and have many senior moments lol!). He’d holler and yell all the while he was jumping on the bed to wake me up to fill his empty bowl. That wouldn’t fly, so I bought the PetLibro where at least I could fill the hopper with a month’s supply of kibble. I see you have reviewed the PetLibro, and I’ll be interested to see what you thought of it. I will say one thing for the Cat Mate: I really like that you can use it with wet food, which I am trying to get him to eat in the evening. He’s a kibble addict…but that’s a story for another time. 😼

  47. Paulski25 on August 13, 2021 at 10:42 pm

With two cats with different and exclusive diets there is only one option, the feeder with the microchip reader. It works perfect and is even better when the ́backdoor of the feeder is closed with the extra cap

Good evening, thank you for all the videos you submit! I have already watched a lot of them for a few weeks and I have learned a lot, especially thanks to you!
    a big thank-you!!
I would like to know if you know the name of an automatic feeder with electronic chip access and kibble storage tank.
I have three kittens (Shaya, Slam and Snow) and I prefer to anticipate any "theft" of kibble in view of the different products that cost a certain price when you want to be well equipped, I wish to have the best for my kittens … for example, I bought an automatic litter box "lavviebot S" because I wanted a practical product for my husband (I am absent during the week ..). I have a lot of hesitation with the litter-robot 3 connect besides! ….

this is why I would like a quality product so that my kittens are fed without my husband having to take care of them (just a check for him would be enough) … I did a lot of research on utube France concerning different products for cats (automatic litter; litter; kibble and feeder; games; etc …;) and I noticed that my compatriots are rather "cautious" about high-end purchases for our animals …

The last two products you offer in your video are very interesting, but I would need a summary of the two products …. 🙂
I accidentally discovered the product that would meet my expectations, but I can no longer find it … pfff

I haven’t watched all of your videos yet; So sorry for the inconvenience if you have already offered a product such as the one I am looking for …

I wish you good luck, your product presentations are really great!

    good to you

One of my cats learned how to force the petsafe to rotate!
