BLUE ASH, Ohio (WKRC) – University of Cincinnati’s Blue Ash campus is holding an event Sunday to help local service dogs.
The 24th annual Canine Corps Health Clinic takes place from eight a.m. to noon in the Veterinary Technology building off Plainfield Road.
More than 50 working canines from law enforcement and search and rescue agencies will get free exams. The checkups will focus on the particular needs of their jobs, so veterinarians will look at hearing, vision, dentistry and orthopedics.
Many problems have been detected early due to this outreach effort.
Local veterinarians and animal health specialists donate their time to this effort.
